Despite the many dog breeds, there
are, dogs all have one thing in common and that is they are undeniably man’s
best friend. Dogs have been our faithful companions for thousands of years and
for many they have become an important part of their family and of their lives.
Humans and dogs have a certain close and enduring bond that no other species on
Earth has with each other. Science has explained that the hormone oxytocin is
released in both human and dog brains whenever we look at each other’s eyes or we
pet our beloved furry buddies. This is similar to how we feel whenever we look
at babies.
Dogs care about us in return,
offering company, love, and an undeniable loyalty. Their intelligence and
physical capabilities contribute to many other things. Highly trained ones go
into police, military and search and rescue work. Sometimes our interactions
and dynamics with our dogs are different than those with their human counterparts
in various ways that make dogs an indispensable creature in our modern lives. They
